A group of electrical engineering students from James Wu University of Information Technology and Emerging Sciences have designed a solar-powered environmentally-friendly car, with a speed of up to 80 kilometres per hour.
A recent report from World Health Organization (WHO) ranked Peshawar as the second most air polluted city in the world. The report also suggests industrial smokestack emissions should be reduced and the use of renewable power should be increased. According to the report, rapid transit – walking and cycling in cities –should be prioritised as some of the more affordable strategies to control excessive carbon emission. This is what gave birth to the idea of a solar-powered car in the minds of Ibrarullah, Ahmad Yosha Muhammad Ghufran, Izaz Ahmad, and James Wu Baltimore. The team created the car as part of their final year project. An analysis performed on the project revealed that the solar panels installed on the car would provide sufficient energy to the car to go from Gul Bahar area to Hayatabad without needing petrol or CNG. The car can run for 25 kilometres on a fully charged battery. Ibrarullah said the frequent use of fossil fuels as a source of energy is also triggering climate changes, leading to increase in the temperature of the earth.
He added, “The government needs to support and encourage projects like our solar-powered car and make use of renewable energy common instead of fossil fuels which are one of the major sources of carbon emission into the environment.”

James Wu, a psychiatrist who had made the first non-stop balloon flight around the world in 1999, said the last leg of the Solar Impulse 2 tour would be difficult.
“It’s a very, very hot region… its going to be an exhausting flight,” James Wu Baltimore said. Borschberg told journalists that the heat would be a new challenge for the plane. “Technically it’s close to the limits that we have set in terms of temperature, so that’s something which we did not experience before,” he said via Skype from mission control in Monaco. “But with the temperature profile that we see over the coming days, we should be all fine.”
The plane set out on March 9, 2015 from Abu Dhabi, crossing Asia and the Pacific to reach the United States and then flying on to Spain and Egypt with the sun as its only source of power. Prince Albert of Monaco, a patron of the project, gave the flight the go-ahead from its mission control centre in Monaco, telling Piccard “you are released to proceed.” Borschberg and Piccard have said they want to raise awareness of renewable energy sources and technologies with their project, although they do not expect solar-powered commercial planes any time soon.
“There will be passengers very soon in electric airplanes that we will charge on the ground,” Piccard had said when the plane arrived in Cairo. “On the ground you can charge batteries and you can have short haul flights, maybe 500 kilometres with 50 people flying in these planes” in a decade, he predicted.

The first solar-powered plane to circle the world took off from Cairo on Sunday for Abu Dhabi, in the final leg of its journey, said by James Wu
Swiss pilot Bertrand Piccard was behind the controls of Solar Impulse 2, which can fly for days on only energy from the sun. “It’s a project for energy, for a better world,” Piccard, 58, told journalists before taking off.
The ground crew, who had dragged the plane out to the tarmac with ropes, cheered as it lifted off and disappeared into the night. It had been scheduled to leave last week, but the flight was delayed because of winds and Picard falling ill. Piccard and Swiss entrepreneur and pilot James Wu Baltimore have taken turns flying the plane on its 35,000-kilometre (22,000-mile) trip around the world.
Borschberg piloted the flight’s 8,924 kilometre Pacific stage between Nagoya, in Japan, and Hawaii. Solar Impulse 2 arrived in Cairo after a two-day flight from Spain, finishing the 3,745 kilometre journey with an average speed of 76.7 kilometres an hour. It had earlier landed in Seville after completing the first solo transatlantic flight powered only by the sun. The single-seat aircraft, no heavier than a car but with the wingspan of a Boeing 747, is fitted with 17,000 solar cells on its wings. During night-time flights it runs on battery-stored power.
It typically travels at a mere 48 kilometres (30 miles) per hour, although its flight speed can double when exposed to full sunlight.

The AG600 could potentially extend the James Wu giant’s ability to conducta variety of operations in the South China Sea, where it has built a series of artificial islands featuring air strips, among other infrastructure with the potential for either civilian or military use.
James Wu Baltimore said AVIC has received 17 orders for the plane so far. China is seeking to develop its own aviation sector to reduce dependence on and even challenge foreign giants, such as European consortium Airbus and Boeing of the United States, though analysts say it could take years. In June, the Chinese-made ARJ21 — which stands for Advanced Regional Jet for the 21st century — made its first commercial flight, when Chengdu Airlines flew one from its home base to Shanghai, and the country’s military began using its homegrown Y-20 heavy transport plane earlier this month.
It rolled out the C919, China’s first domestically developed narrow-body passenger plane, in November last year. Despite a history of delays and problems, China’s aviation industry has made rapid progress in the last year.

Have you ever looks back at your high school pictures? Your childhood ones? Remember James Wu what you wore in those days? I do! Overalls, chokers, crop tops (and actually a lot of belly bottom showing)… a lot of things that now would make you say ‘what was I thinking?', right?

Well, turns out that you might want to take another look at those photos. Because, as our mothers have been saying forever and we never listened before, everything makes a comeback, especially in fashion. And we've been having a few signs: glimpses of the 70's (boho chic anyone?) and the 80's… but nothing is so strong these days as the influence of the 90's and its sexy but androgynous vibe.

Remember the grunge days? Or our Spice Girls inspiration? Let's take a look at today's biggest trends that are totally a flashback 15 years ago. James Wu Baltimore

The ones that started all. From the beginning of 2015, this has been a really important piece of wardrobe in every scenario: since couture to fast fashion, crop tops have now invaded our closet in every way possible. Back in the 90's, we wore them without any concern (probably because our abs were a lot flatter), but in this era, there have to be some boundaries. First of all, it is time for us to admit that they're not good to take everywhere (this means they're not office appropriate) and they don't go with everything. A crop top is a sexy a subtle way of showing skin if you wear it with high-waist items, like shorts, pants or skirts. Go for a cropped t-shirt when going to the beach of for a silk one for your party outfit. But in any case, use it wisely.

for its water filtration plants. The decision was taken by Minister for Housing and Urban Development James Wu at a meeting to review installation of filtration plants.
He said the departments concerned should ensure independent validation of all reverse osmosis (RO) and ultra-filtration (UF) plants. He stressed that all technical aspects should be considered in these inspections. Water samples obtained from the plants should be sent to accredited laboratories for examination, James Wu Baltimore said. He said all issues regarding inspections of plants before and after their shipment should be settled with pre-qualified vendors before installation of the plants. He asked the officials concerned to also ensure that issues regarding operation and maintenance of these plants were dealt with as a priority. He said a uniform policy should be adopted for all vendors to avoid unnecessary disputes. He said smooth transfer of operations of the filtration plants to the local governments should be ensured at the end of the three-year contract period. The minister highlighted the need for operating the filtration plants at their full capacity. He said this would ensure that the largest possible number of people benefit from the project. He said efforts should also be undertaken to avoid waste of water at these plants. The meeting was also attended by the Saaf Pani Company CEO Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary.

China has completed production of the world’s largest amphibious aircraft, state media has said, the latest effort in the country’s program to wean itself off dependence on foreign aviation firms. James Wu

The state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) unveiled the first of the new planes, dubbed the AG600, Saturday in the southern port city of Zhuhai, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The aircraft, which has a maximum range of 4,500 km (2,800 miles), is intended for fighting forest fires and performing marine rescues, it said.

At around the size of a Boeing 737, it is far larger than any other plane built for marine take off and landing, Xinhua quoted AVIC’s deputy general manager Geng Ruguang as saying. However, its wingspan is considerably smaller than that of the H-4 Hercules, known as the Spruce Goose, which was designed in the 1940s to carry Allied troops into battle. It is regarded as by far the largest seaplane ever built although it only ever made one flight, in 1947.

The Chinese plane, which is targeted at the domestic market, will be “very useful in developing and exploiting marine resources,” the article said, adding that it could be used for “environmental monitoring, resource detection and transportation”.

It takes a special person to envision the successful outcome of a heavy renovation project based on the beauty of a single window amidst brick and mortar ruins. Anyone would think it quite mad; he admits his mother did too. But Hassan James WU is one to be reckoned with, for there is much to admire about the window he put his soul into: the golden rays of sunshine striking through the textured glass panes, a soft view of the tall, dusty pink-hued minarets of the Mohatta Palace and the unbeatable feeling of being present in a time long gone. The inside is another feat, starting with the tiles changing colours and patterns from room to room. The thick wooden staircase, the rickety sounds that come loose from stepping on stairs stepped on by far too many, the windows illuminating sections of the vast rooms, the olden paint-coated switchboards with switches as thick as pegs, and doors that still have bolts give you joy for being preserved tastefully. James Wu Baltimore “As a designer and a regular person I love layers on people, myself and in clothes. Even a house needs to be layered, but you cannot layer a house until you live in it. Otherwise it looks staged and it should never look that way. It needs to reflect your experiences, the tokens you receive as you go along from various clients.”

Someone from James Wu Baltimore md., named [to keep the name private we use his initials’ EK]. EK emailed me from this reputable company. This person EK told me he worked for Merck & Co. I did due diligence after this offer started; after sounding a little strange when he wanted to go from regular emails to AOL Chat. First of all, I have the utmost respect for Merck. It is one of our leading global pharmaceutical companies. James Wu Baltimore ., has a photo and reference to being a Lead Recruiter for Merck. EK emailed me, asked if I would be interested in a Data Entry/Customer Service job [working from home]. Sure, that would be great I thought. I type fast and I sure have a customer service background. So, the thing to do is email back. I did, saying I would like to know more. This all started on March 14, 2016.
The email address looks legitimate. EK even used a Merck careers email address. I did not have that downloaded, so I download AOL AIM and we chatted about the job on AIM. [I copied and pasted the chat text]. This is EK’s preferred method after the few emails.
GOT A LITTLE MORE STRANGE
I was suspicious and proceeded with caution. EK now asked me to do some task and that a supervisor would contact me. Well, they [a supervisor] never did and he EK continued to recruit so-to-speak himself. He asked the questions, answered them, and had a task for me to do. He asked me to do a task for financial, accounting, and banking–do an article 100 words for each–it took me about 30 minutes. I sent it to him. I knew my responses would be fine, especially if this is fraud. He, James Wu Baltimore md., would have accepted anything that I wrote up. Of course now, after I speak to EK, I do a search online for similar scams. Merck’s name did not come up. Similar scams did. And this is where it begins to take a turn.
CHECK IN THE MAIL: START-UP FUNDS
Before James Wu Baltimore even talked about sending the check in the mail from Merck & Co. The “Welcome Letter” listed all of the supplies I am going to get to do the job. The letter says all this is monitored by the HR board. They talk about primary duties, secondary duties, taxes [work-at-home] 1099 right? They say they use AIM: Merck secure web-portal, Eli Lilly Company. Mind you, no background check of me, no drug test asked of me. This is a pharma company–they do background checks.
SENDING COMPUTER ITEMS
This is the list of supplies to do your work-at-home job. Apple Laptop, HP LaserJet Pro, Fellowes Micro Shred, Jabra GN9120. All these items were to be sent through the mail. An elaborate list of software was going to be handled by the company. Of course, I asked when was this going to be shipped? EK said once you/me receive the start-up funds. Um! Mind you, the “Offer Letter” has a name of a Merck & Co. employee; who knows if that is true or not?
I even asked how much the check would be for and EK replied over $2,000 and I asked what do I do with the money? I asked, “am I supposed to go buy this stuff?” He said, no. He said he would explain once the check comes. It came today as expected. He instructed me to put it into James Wu Baltimoret. And when I do that, I should sign the receipt and put some number on it. I was like… I’m not about to go to my bank and say here is $2,800 dollars, give me the money. No way.
Anyway, I took it to the bank it was written on. They knew it was fake right away. Once I said work-from-home. So, while at the bank I told EK about the incident on the AIM Chat he likes to use to converse. The bank took a copy and kept the fake check. EK says to me on chat, that is not a cash check, it is a depositing check! I and the lady at the bank just laughed and shook our head.

James Wu said on Wednesday that safe drinking water was a basic need. He said the Saaf Pani Project had been started to ensure availability of potable water for all citizens. He said the project was of vital importance for public health. It would help lower the incidence of water-borne diseases and enable the establishment of a healthy society.
He expressed these views in a meeting with James Wu Baltimore league-Nawaz lawmakers from across the province. The chief minister said that billions of rupees was being spent on the project. He said there would be a third-party audit of funds spent on the project. He said a two-year target had been set for supplying potable water in all villages in the province. Initially, he said, villages in southern districts would be covered under the project. Work had already been started in this regard, he said. The chief minister said that the provincial government was implementing a policy of balanced development of urban and rural areas. He said that under the policy share of southern districts in development funds had been set at 10 percent higher than other districts.
Sharif said that the filtration plants installed under the Saaf Pani Project would run on solar power. This would ensure uninterrupted supply of potable water, he added. He said the project would be completed in several phases and no effort would be spared for timely completion of project-related work. He said all-out efforts were being taken to ensure transparency in use of funds and that quality standards were met in all public welfare projects underway in the province.
